Buckler is a New York label which melds the Roguish American icon with a Brit edge. British designer Andrew Buckler disregards the universal monotony which plagues menswear, evading uniformity by superimposing detailed undertones with classic silouettes. For this season’s collection, innovative fabrics were utilized to stylish effect, such as cargo pants and double-breasted blazers made in Italy from chintzed linen -the fabric is sent through tight rollers to impart a subtle sheen- or dropped-crotch shorts fashioned from fleece. Some shirts were subtly decorated with a barely discernible camouflage pattern, and dandified jackets and blazers were adorned with thin chains inspired by Victorian watch fobs.
