Master musicians Fontaines D.C. unleash NEW era with video single “Starburster.” Today, the boys officially announced, the follow-up to 2022’s Skinty Fia.
It’s also their debut feature for new label home XL. The lead single “Starburster” is just like the title sounds. Produced by James Ford.
Aube Perrie dirted the dynamic eye-opening aesthetics. Fontaines D.C. said the tentative project was influenced by artists: “Shygirl, Sega Bodega, Mos Def, A$AP Ferg, OutKast, and the Prodigy.”
While genius vocalist prodigy Chatten spills that Katsuhiro Ôtomo’s anime “Akira.” Saying: “I’m fascinated by that — falling in love at the end of the world. The album is about protecting that tiny flame. The bigger Armageddon looms, the more precious it becomes.”
Bandmate O’Connell contributed sharing, “This record is about deciding what’s fantasy — the tangible world, or where you go in your mind. What represents reality more? That feels almost spiritual for us.”
