Céline Dion Got Giddy With It — And The Car Became The Stage

Céline Dion got giddy with it. After her Sept. 18 residency show in Paris, the singer stepped outside her hotel to greet fans and somehow turned the hood of a parked car into one more stage for the night.
Barefoot and clearly still running on concert energy, Céline sat, danced and sang along as fans blasted her 1995 French-language classic “Pour que tu m’aimes encore.” The crowd sang right back, because what else are you supposed to do when Céline Dion climbs onto a car and starts conducting the sidewalk?

The spontaneous fan moment arrived less than a week after Dion made her long-awaited return to full concerts on Sept. 12, 2026, opening her CELINE DION PARIS 2026-2027 engagement at Plenitude Arena in Nanterre. It marked her first full concert in more than six years.

The Paris run includes 26 scheduled performances across 2026 and 2027, making this much more than a one-night comeback. Dion’s opening show was emotional from the first song, but this little post-concert scene outside the hotel showed the other side of the return: loose, funny, spontaneous and very Céline.
And yes, after a full arena show, she still had enough left in the tank to serenade the fans from a car hood. Thee Céline Dion does not simply exit the building.
