Céline Dion Makes 53 Carats Look Like a Warm-Up for Her Big Return

Céline Dion is not easing her way back into the spotlight — she is arriving in 53 carats of Bulgari and enough fashion drama to remind everybody exactly who we are dealing with.
The legendary vocalist fronts Harper’s Bazaar’s September 2026 Icons issue in a new fashion story photographed by Robin Galiegue, landing just weeks before Dion begins her long-awaited return to regular live performances in Paris.

And thee jewelry situation? Absolutely not subtle. One of the shoot’s headline pieces is a Bulgari choker centered by a 49-carat cushion-cut tanzanite, surrounded by more than 4 carats of diamonds — taking the total sparkle north of 53 carats.
The rest of the spread keeps the volume turned all the way up. Dion moves through a maroon Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello jacket with an oversized black shearling collar, a deep emerald Givenchy cape, a glittering gold Gucci gown and another Saint Laurent look built around latex-coated lace. A second Bulgari Tubogas necklace joins the mix because apparently one major Bulgari moment simply would not do.
The timing is bigger than the clothes. Dion is preparing for a five-week run at Paris La Défense Arena beginning September 12, marking her first sustained return to the stage in six years. She did make one extraordinary return in between — performing from the Eiffel Tower during the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony — but the new Paris residency brings her back to performing on a regular schedule.
Her time away followed years of worsening symptoms from stiff-person syndrome, the rare autoimmune neurological condition she publicly disclosed in 2022. In the new Bazaar interview, Dion speaks less like someone trying to recreate a previous chapter and more like somebody ready to live the next one exactly as it comes.
That includes fashion, fans, autographs, cold pasta and all the wonderfully inconvenient parts of being Céline Dion again. After everything, she sounds very clear on the deal: the audience gave her an extraordinary life, and now she wants to show them how much she missed them.
