LISA Comes Back Swinging With a Full-On Rap Spectacle
Returning to thee rap energy that first made her impossible to ignore, BLACKPINK’s LISA is back with “SaWaDiKa.”
The freshly released single kicks off the next chapter of her solo run with exactly the kind of scale we expect from LISA now: hard-edged attitude, high-fashion visuals and an accompanying music video that clearly did not arrive on a modest little budget.
“SaWaDiKa” is the first single from LISA’s upcoming six-track EP PRESS PLAY, due October 23, 2026 through LLOUD and RCA Records.
The title itself nods directly to LISA’s Thai roots, turning the familiar Thai greeting into a statement of arrival. After a solo stretch that has taken her through pop, hip-hop, acting, major festival stages and a growing global profile far beyond BLACKPINK, “SaWaDiKa” feels like LISA snapping the spotlight right back to the rapper at the center of it all.
And visually? She went big. The video moves like one oversized flex after another, with LISA carrying the whole thing through sheer presence and a knowing sense that this comeback is supposed to feel like an event.
That timing is no accident either. The single arrives just as LISA is heading into another packed stretch: her Always Lalisa documentary reaches IMAX and cinemas in October, PRESS PLAY follows later that month, and her sold-out VIVA LA LISA Las Vegas residency begins in November.
For now though, forget the schedule. “SaWaDiKa” is LISA in full spectacle mode again — and yes, we are pressing play.
