A debut single that made Lauryn Hill Billboard history
Released August 10, 1998, Miss Lauryn Hill dropped the lead single from The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, making history as the first debut single to enter Billboard’s Hot 100 at No. 1. It spent two weeks at the top.
The track went on to earn Hill two Grammys: Best R&B Song and Best Female R&B Vocal Performance.
The beat samples the 5th Dimension’s 1971 classic, “Together Let’s Find Love.”
