On this special edition of “Way Back Wednesday” features a circus clown invented pink lemonade.
His name Pete Conklin. Carnival folklore says there was a lemonade stand circa 1857 when Pete had no more water.
Not wanting to lose customers. He snatched H20 from the dressing room to mix his lemons and sugar realizing a performer just washed their bright red or pink tights in that exact water.
The dye tinted the lemonade batch and the rest is history!
