Kym Whitley brings the comedy, curiosity and genuine thirst as Gadget Girly tests two of the most talked-about water bottles.

Kym Whitley brings her comedy chops to a new kind of chaos.
This week on Gadget Girly, she is unveiling and rating two of the most talked-about water bottles: the Owala FreeSip and the flavor-changing Cirkul.
One of our favorite people, legendary comedian and actress Kym Whitley—from Next Friday to Netflix’s The Upshaws—returns as Gadget Girly, putting her latest discoveries through real-world testing inside her Valley compound.
“Hey y’all, it’s your girl Kym Whitley, and welcome to Kym Cam: Gadget Girly Edition.”
From the jump, she is in full Kym mode: warm, hilarious and ready to decide whether these viral hydration gadgets deserve a buy, try or deny.
Built-in straws, adjustable flavor cartridges and enough comedy to make hydration entertaining.

Kym Whitley discovers the Owala FreeSip.
First up is the Owala FreeSip, which initially looks like a regular insulated water bottle until Kym begins discovering its little personality traits.

She immediately approves of the lightweight feel, colorful design and small carry loop because, as Kym explains, everybody loves a little handle.
Then comes the button. One quick “Boop!” and the top springs open—but there is no ordinary straw popping up and getting in the way.
The straw is built directly into the drinking spout, allowing Kym to sip normally without pulling anything out. When she needs something more dramatic, the larger opening lets her tilt the bottle back and take what she calls a “big old gulp of water.”
The wide mouth also leaves enough room for ice, which sends Kym into a full testimonial about leaving the bottle inside a hot Los Angeles car and still finding the water cold.
“This ice is going to be here for seven weeks.”
No, she is not conducting a laboratory-grade insulation test. She is Kym Whitley, and honestly, her delivery sells the bottle better than any technical chart could.
She closes the locking lid, throws the bottle into her purse and checks for leaking. Nothing escapes.

Cirkul lets Kym control the flavor.
Next comes the Cirkul reusable water bottle, which looks slightly incomplete until its flavor cartridge is attached to the lid.
Kym loads in a strawberry-kiwi cartridge and demonstrates the feature that separates Cirkul from an ordinary flavored water bottle: the flavor does not simply sit mixed inside the container all day.
Instead, a numbered dial lets the drinker decide how much flavor enters each sip. Leave it at zero for plain water, move it higher for stronger flavor or turn it down when the strawberry kiwi becomes a little too ambitious.
Kym naturally begins cautiously, turns the flavor up and immediately discovers she may have gone too far.
“That was some kiwi and some strawberry right there. It was a little strong.”

She lowers the dial until only a “tinch” of flavor comes through. That ability to shift between plain water and flavored water without changing bottles earns another clear Gadget Girly response.
Cirkul is also a buy. In fact, Kym had already purchased an entire box of flavor cartridges, so this decision was settled before the camera began rolling.
