The boys of Ghosts are spilling just enough to keep Woodstone fans restless. Utkarsh Ambudkar, Asher Grodman and Román Zaragoza stopped by the Variety Studio at San Diego Comic-Con 2026 to tease what comes next for CBS’ supernatural comedy.

Ambudkar plays living husband Jay Arondekar, while Grodman and Zaragoza haunt the mansion as trouser-free finance bro Trevor Lefkowitz and deadpan Lenape storyteller Sasappis. Together, they make an ideal trio for discussing a show that has spent five seasons balancing ghosts, romance, death, property disasters and increasingly complicated rules for the afterlife.

Season Six Arrives With Pete’s Fate Still Hanging

The new season has an immediate piece of unfinished business. The Season 5 finale left Pete Martino in a frightening position after his ghost power allowed him to travel too far from Woodstone for too long.

By the end of the episode, Pete had completely vanished before Jay and Kyle could return him to the mansion. That leaves the household—and viewers—waiting to learn whether he can be restored, has moved on for good or has triggered another strange loophole in the show’s increasingly elaborate supernatural rulebook.

The cliffhanger matters because Ghosts has rarely made the permanent loss of a core spirit feel this possible. The series has played with characters being “sucked off” before, but another fake-out could weaken the stakes. Season 6 now has to deliver an answer that feels emotionally earned.

Jay, Trevor And Sasappis Still Have Their Own Trouble Brewing

Even beyond Pete, the interview gives Ambudkar, Grodman and Zaragoza room to look ahead at how their characters continue changing inside a show built around people who are technically stuck in place.

Jay has become increasingly involved in Woodstone’s supernatural life, even though he cannot normally see the ghosts himself. Trevor continues balancing ego, romance and the occasional flash of unexpected vulnerability. Sasappis remains one of the mansion’s sharpest observers, usually watching everyone else’s chaos with the expression of a man who already knows how badly this will end.

Ghosts Is Also Closing In On Episode 100

The cast is heading into a milestone season. Ghosts is expected to film its 100th episode during Season 6, an increasingly rare achievement for a network comedy—and one that gives the new chapter extra weight.

Five seasons in, the show has expanded well beyond its original hook. What began as a living couple inheriting a haunted mansion has grown into a full supernatural ensemble where every ghost carries unfinished business, emotional history and at least one deeply inconvenient personality trait.

Season 6 now has to answer the Pete question, deepen Woodstone’s mythology and somehow keep the house standing. Based on this trio’s SDCC energy, the cast appears more than ready to keep the afterlife messy.
