Master director Guy Ritchie executive produces the infamous detective series re‑imagining of the beloved character via Prime Video, set for 2026.

Starring the yummy cutie on sex legs, Hero Fiennes Tiffin as a youthful Holmes enrolled at the University of Oxford in 1870.

He’s obviously found new inspo on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s great detective since Ritchie’s 2009 Sherlock Holmes movie starring Robert Downey Jr., and its sequel.

The eight‑episode series is described as an origin story for the character.

“Sherlock Holmes is a disgraced young man – raw and unfiltered – when he finds himself wrapped up in a murder case that threatens his liberty. His first ever case unravels a globe‑trotting conspiracy that changes his life forever. Unfolding in 1870s Oxford and adventuring abroad, the series will expose the early antics of the anarchic adolescent who is yet to evolve into Baker Street’s most renowned resident.”

The Young Sherlock cast also features Dónal Finn, Zine Tseng, Joseph Fiennes, Natascha McElhone, Max Irons, and Colin Firth.

Prime Video confirmed the series for 2026, with filming wrapped earlier this year in the UK. Expect a mix of period grit and Ritchie’s trademark kinetic style.

Oxford, conspiracies, and a raw young Holmes — Guy Ritchie’s back at it. Drop your thoughts below on this new spin.
