The trio of phenomenally talented women known as Automatic have unveiled a sonic and melodic joyride in the form of an official visualizer to accompany their latest track, Mercury.
This brand-sparkling tune is lifted from the band’s upcoming third album, Is It Now, set to release September 26th via Stones Throw Records.
The official visualizer—directed by Claire Vogel—offers a surreal, dreamlike lens to echo the track’s emotional core and shimmering soundscape.
Band member Izzy Glaudini shared some insight into the lyrical heart of the track:
“A reminder not to fall into nihilism or cynicism, to instead see life through a bit of a spiritual lens.”
Izzy went on to say:
“Despite the horrible shit constantly happening, life can still be mysterious and beautiful. I wanted to lean into a sense of dreaminess, and to have the verses feel like a dark lullaby.”
Without further ado, get into thee Automatic groove.
Stay tuned to Stones Throw Records for updates on the Is It Now album drop.
