“Nicola Formichetti presents his latest work for Free Magazine Japan. A eight multi-cover issue featuring Robin Hölzken, Duckie Thot, Zach Cox, Jules Horn, and much more.

“I wanted to recreate some of the characters I have met throughout my life, from when I was a boy in Japan, to my years in London, to my different projects around the world. So casting played a really big role in how we went about the styling. I wanted to create portraits of characters people have seen, they might not know them or have a relationship with them, but they’ve seen these characters; the punk couple that you see hanging outside a shop, the jock that just finished training, the suited salaryman etc.”
