Charlene is the return of R&B/Neo-Soul singer-songwriter Tweet, after a long absense from the musique indusrty. For those not in the know after breaking out back in March of 2002 with her massively addictive and funk-sexy debut tune, “Oops (Oh My)”, Tweet quickly catapulted hitting the number one spot earning critical acclaim on her debut album “Southern Hummingbird (A classic favorite of ours here at the office!) The album, helmed by legendary producer Timbaland also featured guest vocals by frequent collaborator and friend Missy Elliott.

After a decade and then some of working with the likes of rapper T.I., Bilal, Dwele, and German singer Joy Denalane (On “The Dresden Soul Symphony” in Dresden, Germany, where Tweet and the accompanying quartet reinterpreted soul hits and combined them with classical music with a DVD release in 2008.) Tweet signed to iconic rapper MC Lyte’s record label DuBose Music Group and released her “Simply Tweet” EP in 2013.
It is February 2016, and not only is love in the air but after independently signing to a new label, Tweet is FINALLY releasing her official third studio album entitled, “Charlene.” And without further ado kiddas, mellow out to the sweet jazzy funk-sexy vocals of our first ItsNotYouItsMe Album Spin from Tweet!
