Yikes! He May Be A Writing Phenom, But Stephen King’s Microwave Salmon Recipe Is Dubbed ‘His Scariest Work Yet!’

"Horror author Stephen King knows how to craft a terrifying tale with only a few words.

Earlier this week, he shared a recipe for a microwave salmon that some fans are calling his “scariest work yet.” The “Carrie” author revealed his salmon recipe that can be made in the microwave.

“Dinner: Get a nice salmon filet at the supermarket, not too big. Put some olive oil and lemon juice on it,” he instructed. “Wrap it in damp paper towels. Nuke it in the microwave for 3 minutes or so. Eat it. Maybe add a salad.”

Fans had a lot of mixed feelings about the suggestion.

Fred Lynn commented, “Will have to try that.” However, Patricia Arquette was strictly against it.

Arquette commented, “2 chemicals found in paper towels are Chlorine & Formaldehyde. Chlorine is used to make the paper towel white . Like thermal (receipt) paper, Paper Towel have been found to contain Bisphenol A (BPA), even paper towel made from recycled paper.”

“Not good!” another fan commented. “The only thing I microwave is popcorn. I preheat oven and frying pan to 425. Season salmon with salt, pepper, garlic, lemon juice and rosemary. Place salmon skin down in pan in olive oil. Bake 15 minutes. It’s perfectly perfect with crispy skin and simple. Thank you!”

Chef José Andrés commented, “This is a horror movie!🥴eat it raw, eat it plancha, eat it fry…..but 3 minutes on the microwave is like the twilight zone!😂😂do 1 minute at the time if you use microwave, in and out in and out….and undercooked better! Let the waves heat the water molecules enough to be warm!”
