The one and only IT girl landed at Pinkpop and treated a blazing festival afternoon like her own fabulously unhinged pop spectacular.

JADE took over the North Stage at Megaland in Landgraaf on Sunday, June 21, bringing the high-drama choreography, elastic vocals and self-aware showbiz chaos of her solo chapter to the Netherlands.

The performance arrived during an edition shaped by extreme heat. Temperatures were forecast to remain above 86°F across the weekend after reaching approximately 93°F on opening day, prompting the activation of the Netherlands’ National Heat Plan and forcing organizers to add shade, covered structures and free water access across the festival grounds.

JADE did not respond to the weather by shrinking the production. She glistened through it, working the stage with dancers, costume drama and the kind of expressive face that can turn one lyric into a complete backstage documentary.

Her Pinkpop set pulled from That’s Showbiz Baby! and its expanded The Encore edition while making room for the Little Mix history that helped build the audience screaming back at her.

The available Pinkpop video is an edited six-song performance clip rather than JADE’s complete festival set. It includes “Plastic Box,” “Wasabi,” “gossip,” “BOY CRAZY,” “Church” and “Angel of My Dreams.”

One of the sharpest transitions belonged to “Wasabi,” which began acoustically before the full band kicked the Little Mix favorite into festival scale. JADE also folded “gossip”—her Confidence Man collaboration—into “BOY CRAZY.”

That combination explains why JADE’s solo show works so well in a festival field. She is not trying to erase the pop machinery around her. She exposes it, mocks it, climbs on top of it and uses every knowingly theatrical flourish to make the audience part of the joke.

That’s Showbiz Baby! was built around discovery, self-reclamation and a love letter to the younger JADE. Onstage, those themes become physical: every exaggerated pose and sudden tonal turn suggests an artist deciding that being “too much” is not a problem requiring correction.

Pinkpop gave that philosophy an appropriately difficult test. Performing layered pop choreography in direct summer heat is no cute little breeze, but JADE kept the show moving without surrendering its precision or personality.

The audience met her there. Familiar Little Mix lyrics became mass singalongs, while newer songs such as “IT girl” and “Angel of My Dreams” landed with the recognition of material already absorbed into the fan canon.

It was hot, loud, theatrical and just chaotic enough around the edges—the natural habitat of an IT girl who understands that polished pop becomes far more interesting once the polish starts reflecting something strange.
