Sadie Sink makes Calvin Klein denim feel like a 2001 club flashback

Sadie Sink, Calvin Klein denim and Willa Ford’s “I Wanna Be Bad”? Somebody in the creative room understood the assignment.
Calvin Klein has tapped Sink for its latest denim push, officially framed by the brand as “Sadie Sink Feels the Fit” with the tagline “The right fit changes everything.” But for us, the real spark is the soundtrack choice: Ford’s gloriously bratty 2001 pop single.
It is such an impeccable pairing that the campaign instantly stops feeling like another celebrity-in-jeans rollout and starts feeling like a little pop-culture time warp.

The song choice is what turns the whole campaign up
“I Wanna Be Bad” arrived in 2001 as Willa Ford’s signature single, and it still carries that very specific turn-of-the-millennium mix of glossy pop production, attitude and nightclub mischief.
Dropping it underneath Sadie’s Calvin Klein campaign gives the visuals an entirely different personality. The brand’s usual stripped-back confidence is still there, but the track adds just enough camp and Y2K bite to keep things from becoming too serious.

And Sink is a smart fit for the brand. She can do polished without looking overworked, which is exactly what Calvin Klein tends to sell best: the idea that the clothes are barely trying even when every frame has clearly been engineered within an inch of its life.
Calvin Klein keeps mining that sweet spot between nostalgia and now
The campaign also lands right in the middle of fashion’s ongoing love affair with the late ’90s and early 2000s. Denim is back in every possible cut, pop culture keeps recycling the era’s attitude, and songs that once belonged to TRL, mall speakers and dance floors are finding whole new lives in fashion campaigns.

It works because neither half is pretending the past never happened. Calvin Klein gets a younger face for the current campaign, while Willa Ford gets to sneak back onto the dance floor through a song that deserved far more longevity than pop culture gave it the first time around.
