Y2K Summer Didn’t End Quietly at NIBIRU
Revisit Eve & Keri Hilson closing out summer 2026 with full live performances at Retrograde Festival NIBIRU.
The three-day nostalgia gathering took over NIBIRU Arena in Costinești, Romania, from August 28–30, built around exactly the kind of music that once dominated MTV and lived permanently inside everybody’s burned CDs, iPods and questionable LimeWire folders.
And thee lineup was not playing around: Eve, Keri Hilson, Timbaland, Fat Joe, Ja Rule and Busta Rhymes were among the international names pulled together for Retrograde’s first edition — basically an entire chunk of the 2000s music-video universe dropped onto Romania’s Black Sea coast for one last summer blowout.

Eve Live at Retrograde Festival NIBIRU 2026
Eve hit Retrograde on August 28, sharing the opening-night bill with Timbaland and setting off the festival’s whole rewind-the-MTV-era mission. There is something especially correct about hearing that voice at an event built around records that have already survived every supposed expiration date thrown at them.

Keri Hilson Live at Retrograde Festival NIBIRU 2026
The next night belonged to Keri Hilson, who landed on the August 29 bill alongside Fat Joe and Ja Rule. If Retrograde’s whole premise was songs you somehow still know word-for-word 20 years later, Keri was thee assignment.
Retrograde was built as a nostalgia festival, sure, but these sets are a nice reminder that nostalgia only works when the songs still move. Eve and Keri did not need a museum case around them. The crowd already knew what time it was.
NIBIRU says tens of thousands of people moved through the three-day festival, helping keep Costinești buzzing right at the point when the traditional summer season would normally be winding down. That is one hell of a way to send August packing.
