Atlanta’s Wildest Crash Scene Somehow Ends Without Serious Injury
Today’s Present Day-Developments comes straight out of the “how in thee hell did that happen?” department: a vehicle crash in Atlanta left a car wedged into an Interstate 20 overpass with the driver’s legs dangling from the wreckage above the roadway below.
And yes, the visual is every bit as absurd as it sounds. Ala The Flintstones, except this was very real and thankfully did not end nearly as badly as the footage makes you fear.

One Very Strange Atlanta Crash
The footage is wild, but the driver reportedly escaped without serious injury. Read the local reporting, then keep a couple of practical emergency essentials in the car.

According to WSB-TV, the sedan became lodged between concrete beams of the overpass near an I-20 entrance ramp in downtown Atlanta, leaving the driver suspended above the road. Atlanta Fire Rescue said the crash involved only one vehicle, while police said no one suffered critical injuries.
Witnesses Kalena Boykin and Michael Cunningham Jr. came across the scene after noticing traffic backed up and people staring upward. Boykin told WSB-TV that they called out to the driver to stay still because they were worried the vehicle could shift or fall.
The driver was reportedly alert and communicating with people below before eventually getting out of the vehicle without assistance. Crews later removed the badly damaged car while portions of I-20 were closed.
What nobody has satisfactorily explained yet is the obvious part: how did the car end up there? Investigators had not released the cause of the crash at the time of the latest local reports.
FOX 5 Atlanta noted that some witnesses compared the dangling legs to the Wicked Witch of the East beneath the house in The Wizard of Oz. Our brain went directly to The Flintstones. Either way, the important part is that the real-life ending was far less grim than the scene looked.
