Peaches at The Fonda Theatre: 23 Years Later, Still All Bite | INYIM On The Scene

Twenty-three years after first seeing Peaches at The Fonda Theatre in 2003, INYIM returned to the historic Hollywood venue on October 17, 2026, for her No Lube So Rude Tour. Despite an L.A. parking nightmare and a missed photo-pit window, we captured exclusive concert photography and a three-song performance. With a superb new album and all her trademark bite, Peaches remains a force onstage.

Parking wars, a missed photo pit, and glorious Peaches mayhem

Peaches returned to The Fonda Theatre in Hollywood on Saturday, October 17, 2026, bringing her No Lube So Rude Tour during the venue’s 100th-anniversary celebrations—and to a stage with a little history of its own in our INYIM story. We were there to catch it firsthand. But before the music, the madness, and that glorious Peaches showmanship, there was a much less glamorous Los Angeles tradition to contend with: finding parking.

And what a headache it was. As L.A. natives, we DO NOT pay for parking. Call it principle, call it stubbornness, call it knowing your city. Whatever you call it, the vanishing street-parking options around Hollywood have done absolutely nothing for our peace of mind. In our experience, removing those spaces hasn’t made the trip to a show any easier—but that’s another story. Tonight’s story belongs to Peaches.

Thankfully, it was a later show. We missed our allotted time in the photo pit, which was disappointing after making the trip to document the night, but we weren’t about to let a parking ordeal be the end of our coverage. We still managed to get our own original photographs and video of the show. Not exactly the smoothest entrance, but once Peaches was in front of us, the evening remembered what it was supposed to be about.

Back at the Fonda, 23 years after our first Peaches show

Here’s what made this particular concert feel different to us: the last time we saw Peaches was at this very same historic venue, back in 2003. Twenty-three years is a long stretch between nights out with one artist, long enough for scenes to come and go, genres to get recycled, and plenty of once-dangerous pop culture to become positively respectable. Peaches, thankfully, hasn’t taken that route.

There’s another reason this return felt special. The Fonda Theatre is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2026. It first opened on October 20, 1926, as Carter DeHaven’s Music Box, decades before generations of musicians would take over its stage. Peaches’ October 17 concert landed just three days before the landmark’s actual centennial. We were returning after 23 years; the building was approaching its hundredth. Not bad for one Saturday night in Hollywood.

Peaches Puts Her Own Name on the Marquee

Peaches knows a thing or two about making an entrance. In this Instagram Reel shared by the artist, she gets hands-on with putting up her own name on a marquee. It’s a fitting bit of theatrical mischief to revisit during the Fonda’s centennial celebrations.

There was a real sense of déjà vu walking back into the Fonda. The electroclash provocateur we remembered still had the bite, the energy, and the showmanship that made that earlier encounter stick with us in the first place. She hasn’t traded the strange for the safe. If anything, the sheer commitment to her own wonderfully confrontational universe is what makes revisiting her live show so rewarding.

The best way to describe a Peaches show? Like a high school play on acid. Not because it’s amateurish—quite the opposite. It’s the sense that absolutely anything might happen once the curtain goes up: an entire fever-dream production played with complete conviction, in which the joke is as important as the beat and the spectacle never asks anyone’s permission. It’s absurd, theatrical, unapologetically Peaches, and impossible to mistake for somebody else’s concert.

New music, old bite, and a beautifully unruly stage presence

This tour comes behind No Lube So Rude, released February 20, 2026 through Kill Rock Stars—her first full-length studio album in more than a decade. It’s a fitting title for a performer who has never been particularly interested in sanding off the edges. The Fonda’s bill also included Gelli Haha and Soltera, making it an evening framed by adventurous sounds and personalities. Peaches was the reason we came back.

And we have to say it: the new album is superb. We have been covering Peaches and this entire new era here at INYIM, including the beautifully deranged, creature-filled art film for “You’re Alright”. No Lube So Rude still has that filthy wink and club-floor punch, but there is also a sharpness and vulnerability running through the record. It is not the sort of album an artist makes just to have something new to play before the old favorites. It deserves the attention on its own terms, and hearing Peaches in this chapter makes the return to the Fonda feel all the more worthwhile.

The published setlist for the Los Angeles date mixed material from her newest chapter with old favorites, including “Boys Wanna Be Her,” “Fuck the Pain Away,” and “No Lube So Rude.” It’s a reminder of just how much ground her work covers: nasty, funny, confrontational, danceable, and, even after all these years, entirely her own. That mix was part of the draw in 2003. It’s still the draw in 2026.

And while missing the photo-pit window wasn’t in our plans, the footage we did manage to capture is its own little souvenir of the night. INYIM Media filmed an exclusive three-song performance clip at the Fonda, a slice of the experience rather than a claim to have recorded the complete show. The video clocks in at just over 11 minutes, and the fact that we got it at all after our Hollywood parking adventure feels like a small victory.

Twenty-three years after first seeing Peaches on this stage, we came away with the same essential conclusion: she still knows how to put on a show. All the glorious bite, wit, energy, and disorder were there. Hollywood parking may have changed for the worse in our book. Peaches, on the other hand, remains exactly the kind of glorious trouble we came to see.

And here is the footage we managed to bring back from that same night. These are our cameras, our night, and eleven minutes of Peaches doing exactly what she does best.
