Reimagine Pitti Uomo: That’s Pitticolor
A Technicolor splash from the menswear platform
To celebrate its 88th incarnation, Pitti Uomo – the menswear tradeshow that combines serious business, head-turning street style and fashion innovators – launches its debut fashion film.
Starting with this year’s edition, running June 16 to 19 in Florence, each season Pitti will work with emerging and established directors to interpret a given theme. The SS15 leitmotif – color in all its multifaceted hues – became the starting point for photographer and filmmaker Luca Finotti, who reimagined this fashion foundation for the 21st century.
In anticipation of the dapper personalities who will waltz through the Fortezza da Basso in a few months for the SS16 season ahead, Finotti, who has worked on projects for Dolce & Gabbana and Givenchy, created a full-blown Holi feast using motion painting on a human scale.
