Mr. Fantasy Takes Fantasyland From Viral Persona To Tiny-Room Tour
KJ Apa, aka Mr. Fantasy, has declared a five-stop “Sexy Little Tour” in support of his debut album Fantasyland, and yes, the whole thing sounds exactly as delightfully unhinged as it should.
The mini extravaganza will see Mr. Fantasy take his debut album tracks from Fantasyland into a handful of intimate rooms, kicking off right here in the City of Angels at our neighborhood’s famed tiny little El Rey Theatre.
Which means Los Angeles gets first crack at the wig, the hips, the disco-soul theatre-kid energy and whatever glorious chaos Mr. Fantasy decides to bring into the room.
Mr. Fantasy launches his first tour July 15 at L.A.’s El Rey Theatre before hitting Dallas, Nashville, New York and Chicago.

The Mr. Fantasy project has been living in that deliciously strange space between pop alter ego, viral performance art and full musical side quest. Teen Vogue previously noted that the bob-wearing, British-accented persona looked a whole lot like KJ Apa, with fans clocking the familiar voice, tattoos and Riverdale-adjacent clues while Mr. Fantasy insisted on becoming his own fabulous little universe.
Fantasyland is set to arrive as Mr. Fantasy’s debut album, following the release of the star-stuffed “Do Me Right” music video and the increasingly theatrical rollout around the character.
So yes, Riverdale’s Archie Andrews has apparently entered his lounge-lizard, funk-pop, fantasy-man era. Or Mr. Fantasy has simply stolen KJ Apa’s face and turned it into a touring business. Either way, tickets are moving, the fantasy is expanding and Los Angeles gets the first dance.
