The TikTok sensation, who fans suspect is actor KJ Apa’s alter ego, performed his self-titled song while on a pirate float.
For those who tuned into the 99th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and are also chronically online, you might’ve spotted a familiar face—sort of—on one of the floats.
Mr. Fantasy went viral earlier this year not just for his eccentric personality and quirky style, but because fans are convinced he’s Riverdale actor KJ Apa’s alter ego. And their theories don’t seem too far off, since Apa and Mr. Fantasy share the exact same tattoos.
Mr. Fantasy has yet to publicly confirm it’s actually Apa under that unforgettable black bob (even when The Hollywood Reporter pressed him in September). But since uploading his first TikTok in August, he’s already stacked one million followers.
The artist’s been on a roll with new drops: first his debut single “Mr. Fantasy,” then the follow-up “Wayuwanna.” Now he’s leveling up again with his latest track “Catapult,” officially out Friday, December 5 via YouTube Music. (Produced by Florian Gouello, the track leans into a boombastic, club-ready snap with playful pirate theatrics.)
