Ariana Grande Is Walking Straight Into the Focker Family Chaos
Ariana Grande has officially entered the Focker family orbit — and the latest look at Focker-In-Law makes it very clear that peace was never part of the plan.
The new chapter in the Meet the Parents franchise reunites Ben Stiller as Greg Focker and Robert De Niro as Jack Byrnes, with Grande joining the chaos as Olivia Jones, the woman dating Greg and Pam’s grown son, Henry.
Also back are Owen Wilson, Blythe Danner and Teri Polo, while Skyler Gisondo plays Henry Focker and Beanie Feldstein joins as Samantha Focker.
The setup flips the original franchise dynamic in a deliciously obvious way: Greg, once the nervous outsider trying to survive Jack’s interrogation, is now the father watching his own son bring someone home. Naturally, Greg handles that transition with total calm and maturity.
Kidding.
Grande’s Olivia is no easy target either. She is introduced as a former FBI hostage negotiator and triathlete, which means this family may have finally found someone fully equipped for a Focker gathering.
John Hamburg, who co-wrote the three previous Meet the Parents films, writes and directs this installment. Universal Pictures has set Focker-In-Law for theaters on November 25, 2026.
The newest trailer leans right into the franchise’s specialty: uncomfortable family clashes, suspicion, meddling and one generation realizing it has somehow become the generation doing the interrogating.
And Grande? She looks completely at home stepping into a comedy built around people smiling politely while quietly preparing for war.
