Harry has been in the UK this month for promotional appearances and a March 25 performance at the Gateshead International Jazz Festival with the Jazz Passengers and Northern Sinfonia, while Blondie gears up for the arrival of the band’s new studio album Panic of Girls.
The album is set to introduce its next era with “Mother”, a sleek new Blondie track produced during the Panic of Girls sessions. The song brings Harry’s coolly commanding vocal right back to the center, with the band sounding sharp, glossy and unmistakably itself.
And yes, Debbie still has that rare ability to make a photograph feel less like a posed celebrity portrait and more like you have wandered directly into her orbit. The hair, the stare, the attitude — thee Blondie formula remains completely intact.
