Kelis

Kelis is an American singer, songwriter and chef from Harlem, New York. She began her recording career with the Neptunes-backed debut album Kaleidoscope in 1999, introducing a boldly hybrid sound shaped by R&B, hip-hop, soul and electronic production. Her breakthrough arrived with 2003’s Tasty, whose global hit “Milkshake” remains her signature song, followed by albums including Kelis Was Here, Flesh Tone and Food. Across her catalog, Kelis has moved between club music, pop, funk and live-band soul while collaborating with artists such as Ol’ Dirty Bastard, André 3000, Calvin Harris, Disclosure and Ashnikko. Alongside music, she trained at Le Cordon Bleu, published My Life on a Plate and developed the Bounty & Full food brand.
