Amy Winehouse

Amy Winehouse was an English singer-songwriter whose smoky contralto, sharp writing and deep knowledge of jazz and soul made her one of the defining voices of the 2000s. Raised in London, she debuted with Frank before the 2006 album Back to Black turned songs such as “Rehab,” “You Know I’m No Good” and the title track into modern standards. Her brief career left an enormous influence on contemporary soul, pop and singer-songwriter music.
