One voice, two moods: a kiss of excitement and a quieter reckoning
Claire Rosinkranz gives Saturday two sides of the same wonderfully complicated heart with “Kiss” and “Lucy.” The first races toward romance with a grin and an unpredictable melody; the second slows things down to examine the words and feelings that are harder to let out. Both come from her album My Lover, where affection is rarely just one thing.
Two tracks. Two discoveries. One daily detour.
Come Thru Vocals is INYIM’s long-running daily music discovery series spotlighting voices and songs worth hearing. Selections may also move into Musique Dig’s Weekly Playlist and rotation on INYIM Radio.

Tune: Kiss
WHY IT CAUGHT OUR EAR
There is nothing coy about the thrill of a good kiss here. Shimmering guitar, an agile melody and Claire’s teasing, conversational delivery make the rush of a new crush feel delightfully immediate. What keeps it interesting is the way her vocal phrasing darts and turns instead of taking the easiest route to the chorus.

Tune: Lucy
WHY IT CAUGHT OUR EAR
“Lucy” moves into more guarded emotional territory, tracing the tension between wanting to speak and holding everything back. Claire’s intimate storytelling gives that hesitation real weight without turning it into melodrama. Set against the bright romantic charge of “Kiss,” it shows how much range she can find in the everyday complications of closeness.
