Trick or treat time?! It’s another A Spoonful of Whimsy moment, and this one finds Kraft Dinner teaming up with Toronto’s Solly’s Craft Soda for something nobody exactly had on the beverage bingo card: cheesy cream soda.
For the first time, KD has wandered straight out of the bowl and into a can with KD x Solly’s Cream Soda, a limited-edition, Canada-only drink that pairs nostalgic cream-soda sweetness with a subtle hit of Kraft Dinner’s familiar cheesy flavor. Strange? Absolutely. But we dig both items, so yes — we’d try it.

The collaboration officially launched in Canada on September 23, 2026. Kraft Dinner describes it as the first soda released under the KD name, while Solly’s leans into the wonderfully odd idea without pretending it is anything other than a conversation starter.
Solly’s founder Adin Wener called developing the drink an “amazing challenge,” with the goal of making something playful that still tasted like a proper Solly’s soda. The finished can keeps the brand’s cream-soda base and adds just enough of that unmistakable KD note to make you wonder whether your taste buds are being tricked or treated.
And this is not KD’s first detour into the wonderfully unnecessary. The brand has already played around with ideas including KD Mac & Cheesecake and KD Ramen, making a fizzy cheese-adjacent drink feel almost inevitable. Almost.
The 355 mL soda is being sold through Solly’s and Canadian retailers, with the collaboration positioned as a limited run. Solly’s lists the drink at $2.95 CAD per can — about $2.07 USD at current exchange rates, and the company describes its soda lineup as made in Canada with cane sugar and prebiotic fibre.
Would we want an entire case? Let’s not get carried away. But one ice-cold can beside a bowl of KD for science, whimsy and possibly regret? Absolutely.
