Kate McKinnon got sprayed by a skunk — and somehow felt flattered.

Comedy Queen Kate McKinnon is making the promo choo-choo train rounds for her new book, The Millicent Quibb School of Etiquette for Young Ladies of Mad Science: The Jungle of Carabanana — the third installment in her delightfully strange Millicent Quibb series.
While visiting her SNL alumni pal Seth Meyers on Late Night, McKinnon did what Kate McKinnon does best: turned an objectively unpleasant story into something completely absurd. She revealed that she was once sprayed by a skunk and, rather than taking it personally, somehow found the whole thing flattering.
The logic? Very Kate. If a skunk is going to use its one big defensive move on you, there is apparently something almost intimate about being chosen. Most people would run for tomato juice. McKinnon found the compliment.
And because one bizarre animal story apparently wasn’t enough for the visit, she also arrived bearing a much friendlier tomato-related offering: homemade tomato sauce for Seth. Skunk spray and pasta sauce in the same interview. Somehow, completely on brand.

The Jungle of Carabanana continues the adventures of the Porch sisters and their mad-scientist mentor Millicent Quibb, sending them into another round of chaos involving the villainous KRA. The book follows Secrets of the Purple Pearl and the original The Millicent Quibb School of Etiquette for Young Ladies of Mad Science.
