Zephyring 25 Years! Mariah Carey is marking the 25th anniversary of her Glitter soundtrack with its first-ever vinyl reissue, as well as a digital edition!
Mariah shared the following on her socials:
“So excited to share Glitter on vinyl for the first time in 25 years! Had to sprinkle some glitter on the pink vinyls!”
“I made this album with so much love and care, so it was devastating to watch it become a punch line. I’m endlessly grateful to my fans who kept championing it all these years,” singer says of thee 2001 LP.

While Glitter the film, released theatrically in September 2001 and starring Carey, was met with harsh reviews and a lackluster box office. Not helping that the movie arrived soon after 9/11. Carey’s soundtrack has become a fan favorite, even inspiring a “Justice for Glitter” campaign in 2018 to raise the soundtrack to Number One on the iTunes charts.
