This was not JADE’s first time performing in the United States—or even her first solo stop in Chicago. Earlier in 2026, she brought the That’s Showbiz Baby! tour to the city. Lollapalooza offered a different test: less controlled room, more open sky and an audience that may not already know when to scream, bow or prepare for another costume-level plot twist.
That is exactly where her solo identity makes sense. JADE does not treat a pop song as something that simply begins, reaches a chorus and politely ends. Her 2025 debut album, That’s Showbiz Baby!, established that world with songs including “Angel of My Dreams,” “Fantasy,” “FUFN,” “IT girl” and “Plastic Box.” The album’s sound runs across disco, synth-pop, dance music and deliberately unruly modern production without losing the voice at the center of it.
On a Lollapalooza lineup overflowing with current pop girlie power, JADE arrived ready for the same high-impact conversation as Zara Larsson, Charli xcx and Tate McRae. A major festival set now has to survive the field, the livestream, the fan-camera angle and the morning-after replay.
JADE’s advantage is that she has already spent years learning how to make choreography, group precision and big-stage timing read from the back of an arena. Her solo work lets her bend those skills into something stranger and more personal. The polish remains, but now it comes with trapdoors.
