Look Back At The Fun & Unique Automobile Concepts In 1920s.

A foldable, compact 1920s concept car doubled as an early electric vehicle—hinting at today’s micro-EV obsession.

Not much is known about this particular mod except that it was designed to be “foldable” and compact, allowing for ease of storage. Apparently, it was also an early electric vehicle—decades before EVs became mainstream.

These quirky prototypes popped up in the 1920s, when inventors were experimenting with portability and alternative power. (Think of it as a precursor to today’s micro-EVs and collapsible scooters.)

The design leaned on lightweight frames and detachable panels, making it easier to tuck away in tight urban spaces. While production never scaled, the idea foreshadowed the modern obsession with compact, eco-friendly transport.
