The year was 2006 and the pop icon known as Madonna graces the stage of the 48th Grammy Awards featuring the side project “The Gorillaz” of Brit pop legend Damon Albarn (Blur). Madonna is stanced alongside the “virtual band” of cartoon characters created by the Gorrilaz with the band playing their single at the time “Feel Good Inc” which slowly morphs into Madonna’s “Hung Up” in a mashup masterpiece.
The first single off her now dance classic “Confessions on a Dancefloor” is pure Madonna dance pop with it’s perfect sample of disco greats Abba’s “Gimme Gimme Gimme”.
