The online excitement began after a popular X account called @tswifterastour re-shared a snap on Sunday evening of the singer at the game sitting next to a plate of food. “Taylor Swift was eating a piece of chicken with ketchup and seemingly ranch!” the caption read.
As soon as @tswifterastour posted, Swift’s fans — and the internet — became consumed by the user’s caption. The post has since garnered over 32 million views, and launched a new meme frenzy.
And on Wednesday evening, even New York City’s Empire State Building decided to get in on the fun. The official account for the iconic 102-story building shared a photo that showed the upper floors of the landmark lit with white and red lights, with the caption “Ketchup and seemingly ranch.”
One X user, @veryharryhill, reposted the Empire State Building’s post and wrote “Whoever coined ‘seemingly ranch’ needs a Pulitzer TOMORROW.”
The initial Sunday post from @tswifterastour has led to a frenzy of online responses, including from Hidden Valley Ranch who has since changed its name on X to “Seemingly Ranch.”
