Whoo-Hoo! One Of Our Fave Singles Of The Year Thus Far, Zara Larsson’s ‘Can’t Tame Her’ Breaks Through To No. 1 On Dance/Mix Show Airplay Chart.

"Zara Larsson achieves her first leader on Billboard’s Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart, as “Can’t Tame Her” breaks free to No. 1 on the ranking dated May 13.

Sporting remixes from VIZE, Nightcore, DJ Smallz and more, the poppy track is drawing core-dance airplay on stations including Music Choice’s Dance/EDM channel, iHeartRadio’s Evolution and WCPY (Dance Factory FM) Chicago in the April 28-May 4 tracking week, according to Luminate. (The Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart measures radio airplay on a select group of full-time dance stations, along with plays during mix shows on around 60 top 40-formatted reporters.)

Starting with her collab with MNEK, “Never Forget You” (No. 13 peak, 2016), Larsson has tallied eight Dance/Mix Show Airplay hits, including five top 10s. She previously reached the region as featured on Clean Bandit’s “Symphony” (No. 10, 2017) and with her own “All the Time” (No. 2, 2019), “Right Here” (No. 6, 2021) and “Words,” with Alesso (No. 4, 2022).

Additionally on Dance/Mix Show Airplay, David Guetta grabs his 12th top 10, Anne-Marie marches to her fourth and Coi Leray leaps to her first with “Baby Don’t Hurt Me” (12-6). The song is a reimagination of Haddaway’s 1993 club classic “What Is Love.”

Speaking of Guetta, he and Bebe Rexha lead the multi-metric Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart for a 33rd frame with “I’m Good (Blue),” which ties Zedd, Maren Morris and Grey’s “The Middle” for the third-most weeks logged at No. 1. Since the chart began in January 2013, only Marshmello and Bastille’s “Happier” (69 weeks, 2018-20) and Elton John and Dua Lipa’s “Cold Heart (PNAU Remix)” (36 weeks, 2021-22) have led longer.

That’s not all: in collaboration with Australian act Shouse, Guetta starts on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs with “Live Without Love” (No. 35). It’s the French DJ/producer’s record-extending 78th charted title (distancing himself further from runner-up Kygo, with 62). “Live,” Shouse’s third entry, bows with 621,000 U.S. streams.

It’s the second time that the two acts have collaborated, after Guetta’s remix of Shouse’s breakout hit, “Love Tonight,” helped propel it to its No. 8 peak, and 16 weeks in the top 10, in 2021."  -Billboard.com
