Two New Faces Take Heritage Menswear Somewhere Quieter

Fresh Faced Models: Ruslan Danilchenko and Ryder Forsyth head somewhere a little quieter for Elsewhere, by the lake, an exclusive editorial photographed by Jody Mattioli for FY Magazine! Online.
The story trades flashy styling for a more lived-in kind of menswear — weather-ready layers, workwear shapes, classic shirting and pieces that feel pulled from a very good country wardrobe rather than assembled for spectacle.

The Elsewhere, By The Lake Wardrobe
Heritage outerwear, utility layers and classic menswear give this editorial its quiet outdoors rhythm.

Jody Mattioli Keeps The Mood Relaxed And Completely Unforced
Mattioli photographs Danilchenko and Forsyth under the art direction of Pier Fioraso, letting the editorial lean into atmosphere rather than overworking the concept. The result is an easy mix of youth, countryside texture and clothing that looks better the less precious it feels.
The styling team — Francesca Pia de Chiara, Pietro Cugnasco, Rebecca Hinna and Filippo Passera — pulls from labels including Barbour, Barbour x Paul Smith, Baracuta, Engineered Garments, BEAMS, Filson, Sebago, B.D. Baggies, Universal Overall and archive pieces.

Barbour, Filson And BEAMS Do Most Of The Heavy Lifting
The clothes are the kind that reward a closer look. Barbour appears throughout in vests, trenches, boots, hats and trousers, while Barbour x Paul Smith brings a slightly sharper twist to the heritage formula. Filson supplies rugged layers and accessories, and BEAMS keeps the proportions grounded with relaxed trousers.
Elsewhere in the story, Baracuta gilets and archive jackets meet B.D. Baggies shirts, Sebago loafers and Engineered Garments tees. Nothing feels overly polished; that is exactly why the editorial works. It is less “fashion dressed as outdoors” and more a smart edit of pieces that already know how to live outside.
Ruslan And Ryder Give The Story Its Easy Chemistry
Danilchenko and Forsyth carry the clothes without turning the editorial into a posing contest. The pairing gives Elsewhere, by the lake a loose, companionable quality that fits the styling — two fresh faces moving through a wardrobe of dependable menswear rather than competing with it.
Casting was handled by Giulia Masini Mortani, with hair and make-up by Marika Montesano and Rachele Pacini. FY Magazine! also credits WP Lavori in Corso for supporting the production.
