American National treasure Barbra Streisand once said in the 1970's along with equal icon Donna Summer that enough was enough! Now after 40 years, Barbara has had enough once again! With misogyny, racism, homophobism, and classicism (basically all these various "ism's", unfortunately) at an all-time high, her current new album after a 10-year hiatus has forced her publicity tour for her 36th studio album, "Walls", to take a different trajectory.
Strutting by HBO's show "Real Time With Bill Maher" this past Friday night, Streisand, spilled the tea on how the current political climate and the Trump administration influenced her truth-telling record.
Revealing her coping strategies for dealing with the horrific day to day news, the Queen of Queens, said "First of all, I eat a lot. I eat sweets, like coffee ice cream, that counterbalances the bitterness that [President Donald Trump's] throwing at us. Also, I have to play games, literally, before I go to sleep. To get him out of my head, to get the news that I watch all day out of my head … to be in the present, you have to play gin, you know?" Barabara coyly giggled.
She feels enough is enough and with Donna Summer whom we're sure is rolling in her grave as well, wants to know plain and simple, "What is he hiding? ... Why is he above the law? Why does he live with those conflicts of interest? Why do other Republicans let him get away with it?"
We concur with Miss Streisand when she said impeccably, that the man invading the white house, in a way it is like a blister that has to pop. You know what we mean. Like a blister, you just have to get it over with and then get back to sanity!
The legendary releases a new song and album this past month after a decade hiatus!
