Fast forward to the present. It’s being celebrated with a 20th-anniversary reissue—and it’s a full-circle moment for pop heads and club kids alike.
It’s everlasting musical impression and imprint is equipped with an exquisite, impeccable continuous DJ-set structure. A one-pot dish like jambalaya or menudo (look it up) of disco and electronic sonics. Zero stops between tunes. A pop musical extravaganza into a seamless encounter.
It’s strongly rumored that the reissue is dropping November 7th (source: xodivad.com) and will feature a Confessions era Steven Klein-shot cover (as seen in the Koko promo video below), inspired by Tina Turner’s iconic Acid Queen era.
Led by the triumphant first single “Hung Up” (that ABBA sample still hits like a glitter-drenched freight train), the reissue is said to include bonus tracks and remixes to honor thee milestone.
The reissue also arrives as Madonna reportedly readies her long-whispered “Confessions Part 2” album, once again teaming up with producer Stuart Price. (Let the synths rise.)
