Two SNL Veterans Turn One Good Hang Into Comedy Therapy

When Amy Poehler and Will Ferrell sit across from each other, the setup barely needs an agenda. The former Saturday Night Live castmates share years of comedy language, and their conversation slips easily between childhood ambitions, questionable jobs and the kind of wonderfully specific nonsense only old co-workers can turn into a full event.
During Ferrell’s visit to Good Hang with Amy Poehler, the darling gruesome twosome get into his childhood desire for a briefcase job, the Disneyland gig he quit and his favorite Swedish stereotypes. The episode also checks in on Ferrell’s Netflix series The Hawk, but the real attraction remains the chemistry: Poehler tosses him one small detail and watches an entire comic world appear.

Good Hang is at its sharpest when Poehler already knows where the abandoned character ideas are buried. Ferrell gives her plenty to work with, turning minor memories into committed bits while Poehler keeps the whole thing loose enough to feel less like an interview and more like we pulled up a chair beside two comedy brains entertaining themselves.
There is career talk and plenty of old-fashioned catching up, but no one is straining for a dramatic reveal. Instead, the pair let the silliness build naturally—one strange job, one Scandinavian observation and one perfectly timed Ferrell expression at a time.
