Cool, Sleek and Entirely Unbothered — Summer Can End Now
Summer ending? Dig out thee bear floating in a pool of water, minding his own business like the calendar has absolutely nothing to do with him. Cool, sleek and entirely unbothered — it’s the bare necessities after all in Jackson Township, New Jersey.
The footage was filmed by Natalia Semeneeva while riding through the bear section at Six Flags Wild Safari. Semeneeva said the bear was swimming when she started recording, before he rolled into full relaxation mode and raised one front paw in what looked very much like a lazy little wave to the audience.
And yes, that is basically the entire mood. No rushing. No dramatic summer finale. Just water, paws in the air and the kind of peace the rest of us keep pretending we’re going to find before Monday.

Six Flags says its 350-acre Wild Safari is home to more than 1,200 animals from six continents. Its bear areas include both black bears and European brown bears, with the park even noting that visitors may catch a bear swimming in the pond. Apparently one of them has decided to turn that possibility into a lifestyle.
The clip first started making the rounds over the summer, with plenty of people immediately comparing the bear’s loose-limbed float to Baloo from The Jungle Book. We get it. The waving paw really seals the deal.
So while the rest of us are packing away beach towels and pretending we’re emotionally prepared for shorter days, this bear has offered a much better closing statement for summer 2026: float first, worry later.
