Steven Spielberg is back in the UFO universe! Entitled “Disclosure Day,” the film lands June 12, 2026.
Let’s not forget: the Oscar winner first ventured into intergalactic space with 1977’s Close Encounters of the Third Kind, followed by the timeless classic 1982’s E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial. He later revisited alien invasion with 2005’s War of the Worlds starring Tom Cruise and Dakota Fanning.
Universal has now unleashed a first look at Spielberg’s first new movie since 2022’s The Fabelmans—which we viewed and adored!
Shot in New Jersey, the project has been kept tightly under wraps. The film’s marketing carries the tagline: “All will be disclosed.”
The teaser poses the chilling question: If you found out we weren’t alone—if someone showed you, proved it to you—would that frighten you? This summer, the truth belongs to seven billion people. We are coming close to … Disclosure Day.

The cast includes Emily Blunt, the yummy handsome Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth, and Eve Hewson. Blunt is fresh off Oppenheimer, while O’Connor recently starred in Challengers—both adding extra star power to Spielberg’s ensemble.
Spielberg’s back in UFO territory with Disclosure Day. Do you think this will rival Close Encounters or E.T.? Drop your thoughts below.
