Song for the Mute is back in its feelings — the good kind, the sun-faded kind, the kind that smells like sea air, old fabric, and a summer that never quite leaves your skin.

The Sydney-based brand has unveiled its Spring/Summer 2027 collection, Summer Blues, a poetic menswear chapter that moves between France and Tunisia, childhood holidays, working coastlines, and the strange little ache of belonging to more than one place at once.

Presented during Paris Fashion Week, the collection feels less like a postcard vacation and more like a memory rebuilt from texture: fishermen, markets, drying nets, sun-bleached awnings, plastic crates, dusty roads, and clothes that look like they have lived a few beautiful lives before arriving on the body.

INYIM Style Note

Into the sun-faded utility mood? Think fisherman pants, worn-in sneakers, relaxed overshirts, and pieces that feel collected instead of forced.

Design-wise, Summer Blues leans into maritime clothing, workwear, sportswear, and everyday dress without turning the whole thing into costume. There are hooded bibs, sailor anoraks, fisherman pants, trench coats, tabbed blazers, barn jackets, skirts, and sundresses — pieces that sit together with the quiet confidence of a wardrobe gathered slowly over time.

The fabric story does a lot of the talking. Sun-dried cotton, faded finishes, dip-dyed textures, picnic checks, tablecloth stripes, lightweight twills, dusty blues, olives, and weathered neutrals all help the collection feel worn-in before the first wear. It is fashion with a little salt on it.

The brand’s ongoing adidas Originals collaboration also continues through ADI009, folding sporting archetypes into the same seaside memory bank. Think bombers for the evening, football-inspired polos, washed tracksuits, swim shorts, cable knits, pale denim, and sneakers that understand the assignment.
