L’Officiel Makes Simone Stravolo the Object of Everybody’s Attention
Dig out those eyes because model Simone Stravolo has officially become thee object of observation. The Italian model steps in front of photographer Sasha Olsen for L’Officiel Hommes’ May 2026 fashion story, appropriately titled Object of Observation.
The magazine describes observation as something that always creates a little distance — even when that distance is barely a breath — and builds the editorial around the chemistry that can happen inside that space. In Stravolo’s case, the experiment involves one exceptionally camera-friendly face, sharp menswear and an editorial gaze that knows exactly where it wants you looking.

Giorgio Ammirabile styled the story, while Marica Parrucco handled hair. Across the complete editorial, L’Officiel credits Stravolo in looks from Versace, Numeri, Roberto Cavalli, Dsquared2 and Lardini.
There is plenty of full-look Versace in the mix, but the wardrobe also moves through Numeri tailoring, Roberto Cavalli boots, Dsquared2 denim and Lardini shirting. The result lands somewhere between polished Italian menswear and that slightly dangerous “why is he staring directly through me?” fashion energy.
Simone Stravolo Has Been Building the Résumé for Years
Stravolo may fit comfortably into our Fresh-Faced Model universe, but he is not exactly new to the business. Models.com traces his recent work through campaigns, editorials, runway appearances and lookbooks stretching across several seasons.
His credits include Guess campaigns and runway work, a Philipp Plein show, editorials for Schön! Switzerland, The Perfect Man and Man About Town, plus a 2025 Models Milano portrait series. That makes the L’Officiel shoot less of an introduction and more of another reminder that the camera has been very aware of Mr. Stravolo for a while now.
Models.com currently lists the Milan-based Italian model with representation spanning New York, Paris, London, Barcelona, Berlin, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Los Angeles and Zurich, with Models Milano as his mother agency.
Versace, Numeri and One Very Focused Fashion Gaze
The official editorial moves through nine wardrobe frames, and Olsen keeps the setup clean enough for Stravolo and Ammirabile’s styling to stay front and center. L’Officiel’s own framing is less about spectacle than scrutiny: the model is quite literally presented as the subject being watched.
That premise works particularly well with Stravolo because his strongest feature is not one specific jacket, pair of boots or perfectly arranged bit of denim. It is the expression. There is a cool directness to the editorial that lets the clothes register while keeping the face — and yes, thee eyes — as the thing pulling you through the story.
Fashion editors can write all the theory they want about distance and observation. Sometimes the simpler explanation is that Sasha Olsen pointed a camera at Simone Stravolo and everybody understood the assignment.
