Johnny Canales, the Tejano music legend talent scout who helped launch the career of the one & only extraordinary Selena Quintanilla Perez!

Growing up we had Letterman, Rosie, Oprah & Leno’s. But it was Canales who was our beacon of journalism inspo. Especially since we were in REAL-TIME followers of #Selena’s. Appearing in her “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom” video. Purchasing tickets to see in her in concert at the LA Sports Arena circa (1994.) In a time when it wasn’t popular to enjoy a Spanish singer in America. Unlike today how you can catch Selena’s face on every T-shirt/Meme. Johnny Canales, you are widely known for hosting the program “The Johnny Canales Show.” Bringing joy and influence to us & so many others.
