The true legend of underground fashion—Pam Hogg—has passed away at age 66.

The Scottish designer, musician, and true icon died peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice in Hackney, London, surrounded by friends and family.
Hogg first broke through in the early ’80s after studying at the Glasgow School of Art, quickly carving her own lane with psychedelic catsuits, punk‑infused tailoring, and fearless DIY energy. She was part of London’s famed Blitz Kids scene, standing shoulder‑to‑shoulder with Boy George and Leigh Bowery.
Her designs were worn by Kate Moss, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Kylie Minogue, Debbie Harry, and even Princess Diana. (In 2013, Princess Eugenie donned a custom Hogg hat, proving her reach spanned both underground clubs and royal circles.)
Beyond fashion, Hogg was also a musician, dabbling in punk, noise, and acid house, further cementing her reputation as a multi‑disciplinary creative force.
Her family’s statement summed it up: “Pamela’s creative spirit and body of work touched the lives of many people of all ages. She leaves a magnificent legacy that will continue to inspire, bring joy and challenge us to live beyond the confines of convention.”
Garbage frontwoman Shirley Manson shared her condolences via a Instagram reply to the above release of death as well as a deluge of others who we consider like-minded souls –
“I can practically hear you cackling from the heavens, enjoying the dark theatre and spectacle of it all.
Love you Pam.
I’ll be over in a bit.
Get the kettle on.“

Pam Hogg (January 4, 1959 – November 26, 2025). Rest in Peace.
