PALOMO unleashed its Spring/Summer 2027 collection, marking ten years of Alejandro Gómez Palomo’s romantic, rebellious fashion universe with a show that looked less like an anniversary retrospective and more like a very clear statement of what comes next.

Presented as part of the official Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid calendar, the collection is titled Et in Arcadia Ego and was staged at the Rosaleda del Parque del Oeste, where roses, fading Madrid light and the garden itself became part of the clothes.

Ten Years in Arcadia

Alejandro Gómez Palomo celebrates a decade of PALOMO with romance, tailoring, transparency and one very Spanish garden fantasy.

The setting made sense immediately. Et in Arcadia Ego pulls from pastoral imagery, Spanish gardens and Baroque romanticism, but PALOMO never treats any of those references like museum pieces. The point is still dressing the body now — just with more silk, more decoration, more exposed skin and absolutely no interest in apologizing for any of it.

Across the collection, silk chiffon, floral brocades, embroidered cottons, velvet, crystals and metallic studs move through soft tailoring and decorative layers. The silhouettes keep circling the ideas that have defined Palomo’s work from the beginning: masculinity treated as something expansive, sensual and theatrical rather than something that needs to be protected from beauty.

And that is really the story of the tenth anniversary. When Alejandro Gómez Palomo launched the house in 2016, the proposition itself felt confrontational: menswear could borrow from couture, lingerie, historical costume, Spanish tradition and womenswear without losing its connection to the male body. Ten years later, the clothes no longer look like they are asking permission.

Et in Arcadia Ego keeps the romance but sharpens the point

There are 40 looks in the collection, and the materials are rich without turning the whole thing into nostalgia. PALOMO’s Arcadia has softness, fantasy and ornament, but it also has structure. Tailoring keeps the collection from floating away entirely, while transparency and embellishment stop it from becoming too proper.

FY Magazine! described the show as a house taking a moment to consider what comes next rather than simply replaying the last decade, which feels exactly right. The collection is unmistakably PALOMO, but it is more controlled, more precise and less interested in proving its own radicalism than the brand once needed to be.

Pedro Almodóvar was among the guests gathered for the anniversary show, which feels like its own perfect little collision of Spanish color, sensuality, melodrama and visual excess.

Ten years in, PALOMO is still giving men romance, skin, ornament and fantasy — only now the whole world seems much more prepared to meet him there.
