The Pynk Is Reopening for One Last Dance
It is officially curtain-call time for P-Valley. STARZ has confirmed that the long-awaited third season will also be the series’ last, bringing Katori Hall’s Chucalissa saga back for one final run beginning Friday, December 4, 2026.
And after more than four years away? Baby, we will take every minute they are willing to give us.
The farewell season will contain nine episodes and open with a two-episode premiere on December 4. The remaining episodes are set to roll out weekly on Fridays through STARZ’s streaming and on-demand platforms.

Katori Hall Is Ending P-Valley on Her Own Terms
For once, this is not a case of a beloved show being yanked away mid-story. Creator, executive producer and showrunner Katori Hall says bringing P-Valley to a close with Season 3 was a deliberate decision — one she described as the rare privilege of being able to end a series on her own terms.
Hall began developing the world that would become P-Valley back in 2009, years before the series premiered on STARZ in 2020. Across three seasons, the completed story will span 27 episodes, following the dancers, dreamers, hustlers and chosen family orbiting The Pynk in the fictional Mississippi Delta town of Chucalissa.
In her farewell message to fans, Hall framed the ending less like a cancellation and more like closing night: a final chance to celebrate the world, characters and community the show built.
Season 3 Brings New Money — and Naturally, New Mayhem
STARZ’s official Season 3 setup finds Chucalissa changed by the newly opened Promised Land Casino, which floods the town with fresh money, opportunity and the sort of trouble that never stays neatly outside The Pynk’s doors.
Uncle Clifford and her framily are once again trying to survive, thrive and protect whatever future they can carve out for themselves as dreamers, schemers, ballers and shot-callers all arrive looking for a piece of the action. In other words: mo’ money, mo’ mayhem. Exactly the kind of mess we have been waiting four years to return to.
The returning cast includes Nicco Annan, Brandee Evans, Shannon Thornton, J. Alphonse Nicholson, Harriett D. Foy, Gail Bean, Psalms Salazar, Morocco Omari and Loretta Devine, among others. Hall herself directs both episodes of the two-part season premiere.
The wait has been unusually long. Season 2 wrapped in August 2022, and although STARZ renewed the series later that year, the third season was among the productions disrupted by the 2023 Hollywood labor strikes. By the time viewers return to The Pynk in December, more than four years will have passed since the last new episode aired.
That makes this final stretch feel less like a normal season premiere and more like a reunion nobody was entirely sure would ever arrive. But The Pynk is reopening, thee heels are back on, and at least this goodbye gets nine episodes to make some noise.
