Oscar Nominations 2026 Nods W/ Conan O’Brien As Returing Host

It’s the most wonderful film time of year — the 2026 Oscar Nominations are officially here, and Hollywood just hit the refresh button on its group chat. The Academy woke us up with a full slate of contenders, surprises, and a few eyebrow-raising snubs that’ll be debated until the envelopes open.

The big headline? Film “Sinners” just shattered history by earning the most Oscar nominations of all time, breaking a long-standing record previously held by Titanic and La La Land. That’s not just a flex — that’s an industry moment.

“At this point, the Oscars aren’t predicting culture — they’re documenting it in real time.”

And yes, Conan O’Brien is back in the driver’s seat, returning as host for the ceremony on Sunday, March 15, which already feels like a win for comedy, chaos, and late-night energy on the world’s most formal stage.

The nominations were announced this morning by actors Danielle Brooks and Lewis Pullman, and this year also introduced a brand-new category: Best Casting — a long overdue nod to the people who literally build the movies before the cameras even roll.

A wild stat to put it all in perspective: 201 films were in contention for Best Picture this year… and only 10 made it to the final list. Survival of the cinematic fittest.

Scroll on for all the nominees, trailers, clips, and deep dives — this is your official gateway into the 98th Academy Awards season.

Conan O’Brien returns to host the Oscars live on Sunday, March 15 at 7 p.m. ET on ABC, streaming on Hulu. (Starting in 2029, the show will air on YouTube.)
