He’s coming for everyone, one punch at a time. Netflix has unleashed the official trailer for TYSON, an upcoming four-part documentary series tracing Mike Tyson’s explosive life from a brutal Brooklyn childhood and heavyweight glory to the fame, controversy and personal wreckage that followed.

The series premieres October 13 on Netflix and gives Tyson himself plenty of room to look back at the person he became when fame hit before he was old enough to understand what it was doing to him. In the trailer, the former champion sums up one stretch of his life with three words: “addicted to chaos.”

Press play on the sneak peek of a life that never exactly specialized in quiet. Tyson went from a Brooklyn kid to becoming the youngest heavyweight champion in boxing history at age 20, then spent years living through the kind of success, scandal and collapse that would have swallowed almost anybody whole.

Netflix says TYSON will not stop at the highlight reel. The four hour-long episodes move through Tyson’s rise, his years as undisputed heavyweight champion, incarceration, substance abuse, financial trouble, public breakdowns and the infamous 1997 Evander Holyfield ear-bite fight, while also following the older Tyson trying to understand what all of it cost him and the people around him.

TYSON puts Mike Tyson in front of his own history

Director Floyd Russ, whose credits include Untold and American Manhunt: The Boston Marathon Bombing, builds the series around Tyson’s own reflections alongside interviews with family, friends, confidants and colleagues. Netflix is positioning it as an unfiltered portrait rather than a victory lap.

That matters because Tyson’s story has never been clean enough for one. The greatness is real. So are the choices, damage and controversy. Tyson himself has said that telling the story honestly means being willing to face “the good with the bad” rather than painting himself as the hero of every chapter.

At 60, he is now looking back at the mythology from the other side of it. The trailer moves between the fighter everybody knew, the chaos surrounding him and the man trying to explain how those two versions became the same person.
