Samir photographs and creatively directs the story, keeping the camera close enough to catch the friction between soft furnishings and deliberately unruly clothes. Cansu handles the styling, while Alina provides hair and makeup that sharpen Juwon’s already severe presence without sanding away any of the strange little details.

The opening looks treat a white shirt like an unfinished thought. It hangs open over Juwon’s tattooed torso while shredded, overworked denim collapses around heavy black boots. The proportions are almost cartoonishly wrong in exactly the right way: too long, too loose, too distressed and completely committed.
The wardrobe pulls from Guovarde, Massimo Dutti, GmbH, Bondage Factory, Khaidar, Marni, Marine Serre, Camper, Maison Margiela, Dsquared2, Saint Laurent and Rombaut.
